The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it 7 And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
