The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 On that day earth will narrate its news, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
