The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its appointed tremor. 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. 5 That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. 6 So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it; 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
