The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day she will relate her chronicles, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8
