The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
