Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
