The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
