The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 and produce sparks 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
