The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
