The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
