Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
