The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
