Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
