The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
