The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
