The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
