Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
