Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
