Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
