Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
