The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
