The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
