The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
