The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
