The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
