Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
