Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
