Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
