The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
