The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
