The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
