The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
