The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
