Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
