The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
