The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
