Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
