Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
