Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
