The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
