Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
