Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
