Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
