Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
