Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
