Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
