Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 and produce sparks 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
