Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
