Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
