Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
